Description
The ASI Model ESP-050 Straight Extractive Sample Tip ("ESP") is designed to function as a low flow sample filtering and measuring instrument. It is a variation of the Straight Extractive Sample Tip (aka "SEST"). The ESP probe prepares the sample from the stack (duct or process) so that it can be accurately and precisely measured by the analyzer (usually a "source level" analyzer). The ESP-050 probe, connected to an external suction pump (built into your analyzer or another mechanical or pneumatic educational pump), extracts a continuous sample from the source gas stream. The gas sample is then passed consecutively through coarse and fine particle filters (mesh, quartz wool and sinter), a preselected glass or metal critical orifice, and then transported to the analyzer. The critical orifice (sonic orifice) serves as a flow measurement component to ensure a constant and accurate flow rate for gas extraction. A secondary line, called the "service line", is also located at the back of the probe. This line can be used for calibration gas, purging (bleed) and sample pressure monitoring.
- Filters particles using coarse and fine filtering methods, as well as low rate extraction

- Numerous critical port selections (standard glass or special quartz, Monel-400 and stainless-316)
- Parts in contact with corrosion-resistant Inconel-600®.
- Special SilcoTek® coatings available (such as SilcoNert®, Dursan® and Silcolly®)
- Connective welding adapters available - for mounting extensions
- Optional probe heater available
