Toxic to human health, mercury's colorless, odorless vapor makes it difficult for humans to detect in the environment. Your team's level of exposure depends on the dose, duration and work performed. It is therefore essential to be able to measure mercury levels on site, in real time and with precision.
The EMP-3 is the 3rd generation device designed for on-site measurement of gaseous elemental mercury (GEM) in the atmosphere for occupational safety, health and hygiene.
The EMP-3 Handheld Mercury Analyzer uses non-dispersive dual-beam cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry that eliminates. All gaseous elemental mercury (GEM) sucked into EMP-3 is measured by absorbance at the wavelength of 253.7 nm. In addition to its high sensitivity (0.1 μg/Nm3), EMP-3 covers a wide concentration range up to 2000 μg/Nm3.
Each measurement taken by theEMP-3 will also record all the GPS coordinates of that measurement location simultaneously with the mercury reading. This facilitates handling and operation, and gives users peace of mind.
