Description

AMETEK 's JEROME J405 Mercury Analyzer is a portable instrument for measuring mercury vapors in ambient air.

The Jerome J405 uses the proven principle of gold-film detection, which is intrinsically stable and reliable, as well as simple one-button operation. It can be used to monitor mercury spills in hazardous waste sites, landfills, remediation sites, water discharges... There are very few interferences compared with UV detection.

Features and benefits :

  • Ultra-low-level detection: The Jerome J405 can detect mercury vapours in air at levels as low as 0.5 µg/m3 with a resolution of 0.01 µg/m3.
  • Gold film sensor: Validated in the field and laboratory for over 35 years, our exclusive gold film sensor guarantees reproducible results in a wide range of applications.
  • Versatile: the J405 is actively used by numerous environmental organizations, industrial hygienists, miners and first response teams around the world.
  • Regulatory compliance: With a lower detection limit of 0.5 µg/m3, J405 meets and exceeds EPA and ATSDR standards for industrial and residential remediation, as well as OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH and MSHA action levels.
  • Optional data logging: When equipped with the data logging function, the J405 can store data for up to 20,000 samples, including date, time and up to 80 locations.
  • Survey mode: In survey mode, the J405 takes continuous air samples to help users locate the source of mercury contamination and take corrective action.
  • Field regeneration: The J405 has a 24-hour autonomy and offers battery-powered sensor regeneration that can be carried out whenever and wherever you like, enabling extended testing in the field.
  • Durable: Housed in a lightweight, ergonomic and durable metal case, the J405 sets a new precedent for low-mercury portable monitors.
  • Intuitive interface: The J405 offers simple, menu-driven operation, as well as easy-to-understand diagnostics and error detection. It requires no PC software, and features a USB interface for easy data transfer.
