LDARtools phx42 Zero Oxygen Mode
Portable VOC FID Analyzer

Based on the innovative design of the phx42 it is now possible to configure the FID phx42 to perform VOC sampling in low oxygen or no oxygen environments such as nitrogen buffers, carbon canisters, VOC tank inspection or other specific applications.

When configured in zero oxygen mode, the phx42 ZOM can monitor components that were previously impossible to monitor because there was insufficient oxygen available at the probe tip to sustain the hydrogen flame in the FID. This meant that the instrument was subject to persistent shutdowns or unable to operate at all.

This extraordinary functionality is based on the following innovations:

• We provide oxygen for the combustion of hydrogen through the scrubber attached directly to the unit.
• We made special adjustments to the multiple streams in the detector.
• Fine tuning of the hydrogen flow to the flame.
• Modified closed loop controls for hydrogen pressure and pump levels to optimize control and accuracy.

The phx42 is the latest FID (Flame Ionization Detector) analyzer designed to perform inspections in accordance with Method 21, SOR/2020-231 and EN 15446.

The phx42 is a portable FID analyzer which allows to measure VOC in theambient air. This latest generation FID has been specially designed by LDARtools to optimize your measurements in fugitive emissions in ATEX environments.

Robust, lightweight and highly accurate, the phx42 features several innovations dedicated to the programs LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) such as its extended VOC measurement range up to 100,000 ppm, active hydrogen regulation, reduced heating time to 15 min and live monitoring via Bluetooth.

• EXTERNAL Bluetooth CONTROL:
  Fully controlled by smartphone or tablet wirelessly. Thephx42 also includes powerful data logging software that can be used to create electronic records of inspections. Also connects to Chateau Mobile as well as LeakDAS and Guideware Mobile LDAR software.
• HYDROGEN CONTROL
  Major improvements have been made to the hydrogen control. Manual adjustment will no longer be necessary.
• EXTENDED RANGE
  phx42 is still a FID, but the upper range has been considerably increased compared to phx21 and TVA1000b/TVA2020.
• EXTENDED SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS
  Certified to the following applicable standards: FM/UL (USA), CSA (Canada), ATEX (European Union), IECEx (USA, Canada, China, Saudi Arabia, etc.). This allows phx42 to be used in compliance with Method 21, SOR/2020-231 and EN 15446.
