Description
The DP-049 ASI Series In-Situ Dilution Probe is designed to function as a sample conditioning and transport system, the dilution probe performs four essential functions to prepare the emission gas sample (duct or process) for accurate measurement by the analyzer (typically an "ambient level" analyzer). The system uses an air aspirator that extracts a continuous and accurate low flow sample from the source gas stream. It is then passed consecutively through coarse and fine particle filters, a preselected glass or metal orifice, and diluted with the motive air in the probe aspirator. This process has now reduced the dew point of the source gas sample to a level below that of the ambient air. It has prepared the often hot, wet, sticky, particle-laden sample for transport (at positive pressure) via an unheated umbilical line to the analyzer, up to 100 m away.
Features:
- Minimum vacuum of 0.47 bar (13.87 "Hg) at a low dilution air pressure of 2.5 bar (36.25 psi).
- Maintains vacuum levels above 0.47 bar with dilution air pressures up to 6 bar.
- Diluted sample flow rates in the range of 4.5 to 12 l / min (depending on the dilution air pressure setting)
- Operating temperatures up to 400°C, or high temperature versions up to 540°C
- Filters particles using coarse and fine filtering methods
- Reduces moisture content to below dew point levels
- Dilutes the sample to measured concentrations with greater accuracy (dilution ratios of 12:1 to 350:1)
- Accurate low flow sampling rates (standard orifice sizes from 20 ml / min to 500 ml / min)
- Parts in contact with corrosion-resistant Inconel-600®.
- Several types of critical orifices available (standard glass, quartz, Monel-400 or stainless-316)
