The Outdoor Air Quality Testing Kit (Starter ) is intended for users who want an affordable set of tools to measure common pollutants in outdoor ambient air, namely PM10 / PM2.5, ozone and nitrogen dioxide.
The Outdoor Air Quality Testing Kit (Starter) includes the proven portable multi-gas detector and monitor Aeroqual Series 500 which can be used to measure a range of pollutants by simply swapping sensor heads for the pollutant you wish to monitor. Nitrogen dioxide, ozone and particulate matter are the three main air pollutants in urban environments. Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and particulate matter (PM) are emitted directly from stationary vehicles and ozone (O3) is created when NO2 and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) combine in the presence of sunlight. The health effects of these pollutants are well documented.
What can it measure?
The Outdoor Air Quality Testing Kit (Starter) combines the portable monitor Aeroqual Series 500 with the following interchangeable sensors:
- Particle sensor (PM10, PM2.5)
- Ozone sensor 0-0.15ppm
- Nitrogen dioxide sensor 0-1ppm
- Temperature and humidity sensor
The Series 500 monitor is also supplied with :
