Description
CleanAir Europe offers the ETG 6900 TDL HCl analyzer for rent. This analyzer uses an improved TDLS (Tunable Diode Laser Spectrometry) for HCl detection, whose narrow bandwidth (0.1 nm) laser beam scans in the absorption band of the target gas, providing a high resolution infrared absorption measurement.
The ETG 6900 TDL HCl analyzer is capable of reliable and selective measurement of HCl at low ppm concentrations without the need for frequent calibration. It is therefore ideal for monitoring hydrochloric acid emissions in landfills or applications in remote locations, e.g. in environmental research.
Used primarily inwaste incineration processes, hydrochloric acid (HCl) continuous emission monitoring system(CEMS) applications have been in circulation for several years.
Chlorine in plastics burned in incinerators tends to combine with moisture in the basket to form HCl during the combustion process.
Hydrochloric acid, in addition to other acid gases, has generally always been controlled in post-combustion cleaning systems, such as acid gas scrubbers (wet or dry).
These systems typically control a variety of acid gases as well as the toxicity level of the air.
HCl release levels downstream of abatement devices are generally low in most applications: single digit ppm levels and typically less than 30 ppm.
CleanAir Europe also offers the ETG 6900 TDL NH3 analyser with the same technology for continuous NH3 measurements.
